Tower Hill Removals is committed to conducting all aspects of its business in an ethical, transparent and responsible manner. This Modern Slavery Statement outlines the steps we take to prevent modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation within our operations and supply chains.
We operate a clear zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. This applies to every part of our business and to all parties we work with, including suppliers, subcontractors and business partners. We are committed to acting with integrity and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any supply chain linked to our services.
All employees, from senior management to operational staff, are expected to uphold this policy. Breaches of our modern slavery standards are treated as serious misconduct and may result in disciplinary action or termination of contracts, as appropriate.
Tower Hill Removals provides removals and associated services. Our supply chains include providers of vehicles and equipment, packing materials, storage facilities, agency labour, property-related services and professional advisers. We recognise that certain areas of our supply chain can be more exposed to potential risks of modern slavery, particularly where lower-paid, temporary or manual labour is involved.
We work to understand where these risks may arise and focus our efforts on those areas through responsible sourcing, due diligence and ongoing monitoring of suppliers.
We expect all suppliers to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery. Supplier agreements and onboarding processes require confirmation that suppliers comply with all applicable labour, employment and human rights legislation, and that they maintain safe and fair working conditions.
To support this, we undertake proportionate supplier audits and reviews. These may include questionnaires on labour practices, requests for supporting documentation, site visits where appropriate, and assessment of subcontracting arrangements. Suppliers that present higher risk, due to location, type of service or use of temporary labour, may be subject to more frequent or detailed scrutiny.
If a supplier is found to be in breach of our standards, we will work with them to address issues promptly. Where corrective action is not possible or not undertaken within agreed timescales, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the relationship.
Tower Hill Removals encourages a culture of openness where concerns about modern slavery or unethical conduct can be raised without fear of retaliation. All employees, workers, suppliers and other stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspicion of modern slavery or human trafficking within our operations or supply chains.
Concerns can be raised directly with line managers or senior management, or through our internal reporting channels as communicated to staff. We treat all reports seriously, investigate them promptly and, where appropriate, take remedial action. We do not tolerate victimisation of any person who raises a concern in good faith.
We seek to raise awareness of modern slavery risks among our employees, particularly those involved in procurement, supplier management and operational roles. Training and guidance may include how to identify potential indicators of exploitation, how to respond to concerns, and how to apply our zero-tolerance policy in day-to-day decision making.
Responsibility for overseeing our response to modern slavery risks rests with senior management. This statement and the underlying policies and procedures are reviewed at least annually to ensure they remain effective, relevant and aligned with legal and best practice requirements.
As part of the annual review, we assess the effectiveness of our controls, consider feedback from audits and reports, and identify opportunities for improvement. Where necessary, we update our supplier standards, training materials and reporting mechanisms to strengthen our approach.
This Modern Slavery Statement has been approved by the management of Tower Hill Removals and will be published and communicated internally and externally. It reflects our ongoing commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of all people who work for, or are connected with, our business.
